:bulletblue:Name: Analamina

:bulletblue:Nickname: Ana, Anala, Lamina, Mina (She’s not too fond of nicknames, but her actual name is quite a mouthful, so she’ll tolerate them)

:bulletblue:Age: Appears to be around 32

:bulletblue:Birthday: 9th March

:bulletblue:Gender: Identifies as female

:bulletblue:Nature: Gentle

:bulletblue:Species: Cobalion

:bulletblue:Habitat: Forest

:bulletblue:History:
Analamina began life on a high rocky mountain; she came into being alongside a Terrakion and a Virizion. They felt an instinct immediately from their creation – they would always protect Pokémon in need and help those weaker than they. They knew not why they felt this way, but they felt it was right. It was what was to be so, in the same way that the day turned to night and the earth never ended. It was without need for explanation, it just happened. It was without need for explanation, it was what they felt. It was without need for explanation, it was who they were.

With these feelings, they decided to travel together, solving disputes between Pokémon and fighting on behalf of those who could not. They helped the weak, and encouraged the strong to do the same. Analamina particularly felt strongly about this; whereas the Terrakion and Virizion were more into displaying their strength and making themselves heroes, Analamina saw that the weaker Pokémon needed more than just a distant figure of legend to aid them in times of desperate need. They needed an aid they could always rely on, to give them the opportunity to become stronger in themselves. She also didn’t like to admit it, but she often felt she was not strong enough to live up to the legendary status herself and her companions had gained. She began to hang back while the other two found more and more fierce foes to face. Was this what helping Pokémon was about? To take down the largest threats, and disappear into the horizon as a legend who fought those who were dangerous to the ones that could not defend themselves? Surely this was not all.

Analamina decided that she did not want to become a nameless figure of fascination among Pokémon. The Terrakion and Virizion she had travelled with had become absorbed with the idea that they were legends; that they were powerful compared to the weak Pokémon they protected. They did not stay to pick up the pieces after the source of the threat had been defeated (by them), and instead left as a near-mystery to the Pokémon they had defended. Analamina couldn’t agree with this; her friends were dear to her but their ways were not. They had changed, they were becoming different Pokémon to the ones she knew. She said her sad farewells and parted ways with her two companions – it was for the best, for she feared there would only have been a rift between them if she had stayed.

It was during this time of travelling alone that she came across a forest; a beautiful place of mottled green leaves and sunlit clearings. But all was not well. The weaker Pokémon of the forest were being attacked by creatures that Analamina had never seen before. They were not Pokémon, that was for sure. They had sticks-that-were-sharp and nets-that-were-tangling and crude spherical objects that were being flung about the place in a somewhat alarming manner. Her instinctual feeling to protect Pokémon felt stronger than ever – these creatures had no right to be harassing them in such a manner!

She charged into the forest, instantly scattering the foreign creatures. They were terrified at seeing a Pokémon so large and powerful; they put up a feeble fight against her. The Pokémon of the forest were in awe of Analamina, for they had not met a Pokémon such as her either. They explained to her how they were attacked by “humans” often, and that sometimes the humans took Pokémon away in the odd spherical objects. Analamina was instantly alarmed by this – it was new and it was different and it didn’t feel right. Humans sounded a real threat to these Pokémon. Something worth fighting, something she could defend against.

She decided therefore to remain in the forest, and she became a guardian figure to the Pokémon that lived there. Any humans that appeared would be chased away, and any larger stronger Pokémon that were a threat to the forest-dwellers would be seen off with a warning glare. Analamina felt as though she had found her true calling, she had found a fulfilment in life; to help the weak when they needed it, to protect them always. For many years her life was like this, and apart from the odd confrontation life was peaceful. It was constant. Nothing changed, and all was well. It even seemed as though humans had eventually lost the will to venture into the forest, for there was a mighty beast living there that protected the Pokémon from them. But this was not to last.

It had started with a rumbling sound; a shaking of the ground that made the trees squeak and the Pokémon panic. Analamina was instantly wary, she had never before experienced such a phenomenon. She rushed to the source of the commotion, worried for the Pokémon and the forest. Being so out-of-touch with humans, she froze at what she saw.

She stopped dead and stared wide-eyed at what was happening. Large metal human-driven-pollution-beasts were felling the trees, tearing up the ground, destroying the forest. It was alien. It was devastating. It was terrifying. Analamina did not know what to do. These things were huge, powerful, overwhelming. She was rooted to the spot, unsure, unable to do anything. To attack so many of them at once would be foolish, yet she hardly thought of that in the face of complete and utter blinding fear. Pokémon were fleeing, squealing in their terror, their cries ringing in her ears. And it was all too much. Analamina turned around and ran.

She ran and ran, faster than she ever had before. Humans, they were awful. They were destructive and inconsiderate and cruel. But more than that, Analamina began to realise that she had not fulfilled the purpose she thought she had had. She had not protected the Pokémon from the humans and their terror-machines. The forest would be no more; the humans would change it and destroy it. She had been a coward and turned around and fled; she had run away and had not fought the threat and defended the weak like she should have done, like she had resolved to do.

As she ran on, ashamed and still in shock from what had happened, she wished for a place away from humans and their lack of thought and consideration towards Pokémon. A Secret Hideout where she would not be burdened by her guilt, where she could be free from the horrors to the world caused by humankind.

:bulletblue:Summary characteristic: Often lost in thought

:bulletblue:Hobbies: Analamina actually enjoys reading quite a bit, despite it being perhaps a little odd considering her history. But during her years travelling and then in the Forest, she took the time to learn to read so she could have a better understanding of the cultures of different Pokémon of the land.
She also likes to sing, but only when she is certain no-one can hear her.

:bulletblue:Moveset:
Sacred Sword
Swords Dance
Flash Cannon
Focus Blast (as a last resort, as it wears her out to use)

:bulletblue:Extras/Fun Facts: Analamina does not cope too well with change. She often worries if things are going to be different for whatever reason, even if the change is positive.
She feels immensely guilty for not doing anything to protect the Forest she lived in, even though she had made it her duty to do so. For this reason she will try to convince herself and others she can do things without help, by herself, if such a situation arises. Even though she really knows herself that some things are impossible to do alone.
Analamina will usually think before she acts, and even sometimes will over-think about what to do in a situation; which can be a problem.
She is a terrible cook. Her previous lifestyle meant that she had no real need for it, and she prefers to eat berries and salad-type-dishes anyway. But anything involving heating – whether it be cooking dishes or roasting marshmallows – seems to go horribly wrong in her hands.

I think it’s kind of spooky that when I decided on the date for her birthday (the day I caught my first Cobalion) it turned out to be a year exactly to the date I looked it up. XDD

Cobalion belongs to Pokémon/Nintendo/Game Freak

Ahh she seems like such a cute character! I like how down to earth she is and how she doesn't see herself as a legendary, its a nice twist on things. I honestly can't wait to see more of her on SH! We should RP together sometime! \o/
